                        RESPONSIBILITY OF MEDIA    :-




      What are the responsibilities media will take ?


            To spread useful information which helps progress. And it makes great use                         of  this technology - this is the reason it's here to stay and develop.


     Media is the fourth pillar of democracy . Media has a responsibility to correctly inform people about the pluses and minuses of Government policies covering all areas like 1) defence, 2)economy 3),social conditions and 4) foreign affairs and also 5) environment  ."Media should highlight short comings by highlighting them and informing the people and the government officials" .Media should be unbiased and not  affliate with political parties or social  organisations .
        
    Unfortunately in India media is leftist and proliberal to an extent that it distorts all the good achieved by the ruling party and spreads terrible negativity .For example even when Indian scientists successfully launch satellites or missiles the media’s news is on the antics and speeches of irresponsible opposition parties. In short Indian media has abdicated its true duties to the people and the Indian Nation. With respect to providing information in the form of reporting the news, the media must be honest, truthful, unbiased, refrain from editorializing and avoid favoritism to slant the content of the reporting.


The media has the option of using their wide range and far reaching access to the public to proselytize a political or other point of view, but is obligated to clearly identify this activity as commentary not reporting.

RIGHT AND RESPONSIBILITY OF MEDIA OF MEDIA

These guidelines are as old as the concept of the free press and the protection of the government to ensure that right is afforded. The modern day media does not follow these guidelines well and the result is a very low opinion of the media in the population. They are their own worst enemy. In fact, if they followed these guidelines they would not have enemies at all. Just different points of view, which is what the right to a free press is all about.  


    

       There are the five main acts and responsibility of MEDIA that I have observed  they are:-

         



                      

  1. The primary act of media is communication. It allows the relay of information from one person to another, using mobile phones, radio and televisions for news updates, the newspaper, the internet and email.
  2. Media acts as a watchdog for accountability of democracy and implementation of manifestos of government, creating awareness to the public against malpractice. Its adversarial role to monitor and evaluate the government to make it transparent and accountable.
  3. Entertainment : from the movies shown on the television, the different reality and talent search shows, magazines, social media (Facebook, Twitter, snap chat, Instagram, Pinterest)
  4. Creation of awareness  : The local radio reaches out to the rural and the vulnerable groups. Creating awareness on different programs that can benefit them. It enlightens the public on their rights, the different policies and how they affect them either directly or indirectly.
  5. Socialization; televisions have shaped the attitude and behavior of people. The portrayal of different characters in the movies and shows have greatly affected the behavior and culture of people that affect family and social relations.

        



  • Don’t be abusive.
  • Be yourself, don’t pretend to be better, 
  • Don’t spread fake news or anything which is not true.
  • Behave like you’d expect others to behave.
  • Be kind, don’t spread hate, don’t judge.


     FINALLY , WHAT DOES THE SOCIETY TALK ABOUT THE MEDIA  ? :-
     
   " MEDIA " helps them to get information about a lot of things and also form opinions and make a judgment regarding various issues.
